Art Basel Itinerary Friday and Weekend Edition

Social Diva’s breakdown of the best Art Basel events – Friday & Saturday.

It’s been a week of art, culture, cocktails and couture–and you want more?  But of course! We’ve highlighted the most coveted events going down this weekend, starting now.

Friday, December 3

Holiday shopping to kick off the day? Only if it’s hosted by Vogue–and it is. The Vogue Lounge brings chic sensibility to the Art Basel Shopping Event at The Raleigh Hotel from 12-9 p.m. Anna Wintour would approve. (1775 Collins Ave.)

If you’re still in shopping mode (and you are) divas are invited to Dolce & Gabbana’s Girl’s Night Out celebration. Palm readings, cocktails, a DJ, and D&G’s Spring 2011 collection? We’re so there –sometime between 6 and 10 p.m. RSVP 305-866-0503 (Bal Harbor Shops, 9700 Collins Ave.)

If you need a mid-day Starbucks jolt, or want to dance the night away, Art+Culture Editions at the Gansevoort and F•ck Art, Let’s Dance at The Electric Pickle Co. are still happening today (if yesterday’s itinerary was too full, obvs).

Saturday, December 4

What a bright idea for a Saturday evening: A meet-and-greet with famed New York chandelier maker, Michael McHale. Come celebrate his Miami Design District debut at Haveli from 6:30-9:30 p.m. (137 NE 40th St.)

Art Basel 2010 must come to an end–but not before a fabulous finale: A Special Closing Party with Tommie Sunshine. UG, Primary Flight and Morgans Hotel Group invite divas (free with RSVP) to party poolside at the Shore Club. It all begins at 10 p.m., and is sure to be piece of art. RSVP to rsvp@ugstrategies.com (1901 Collins Ave)

Now, all you need is transportation –and we want you to get around in style. Roam Vespa scooter rentals come with delivery and pickup…and a complimentary tank of gas. Consider it yours for the weekend for $300.

Special attention to members of the lonely arts club: Cheek’d will be in town cruising Collins, Ocean and more helping single Art Basel fans mend their broken hearts while viewing the arts. Keep your eyes (and heart!) open.

Diva, it’s time to paint the town pink.
